This unit was formed during the war. It is also sometimes shown as 8Brigade RFA.
History
- A new 8 Brigade was formed in Norwich on 12 January 1917, comprising 372, 373, 374 and 375 Batteries.
- Note that a 8 (Howitzer) Brigade RFA had previously existed but by now disbanded.
- The brigade moved to Mesopotamia, arriving at Basra in August 1917. In April 1918 it went on to Palestine and joined 3rd (Lahore) Division there in May 1918.
