The Long, Long Trail’s Google Earth guide to the ‘Forgotten Front’

Download this free Google Earth layout of the British cemeteries and memorials of the “Forgotten Front”: the front line between Ploegsteert and the La Bassee Canal, encompassing Armentieres, Bois-Grenier, Fromelles, Aubers, Neuve Chapelle, Festubert and Givenchy.


The locations are accurately mapped. The Google Earth file can be used for conversion to POI files for use in any satellite navigation system.

If you have Google Earth installed in your computer, and Google Earth is your default program for opening KMZ files, by clicking on the file (wherever you have stored it) the cemeteries and memorials of the “Forgotten Front” area will appear in your Google Earth window. They will be stored into your “Temporary Places” folder.

The KMZ file is virus-free. All use is at your own risk.
