Tip for researchers
If you are researching a man who is listed on one of the great “memorials to the missing” such as the Menin Gate or at Tyne Cot, it is always worth a look at the Red Cross records. Even if the enquiry came back as negative as the man had been killed, paperwork may have been raised during the enquiry into his fate.
