The Divisional Ammunition Column

The Divisional Ammunition Column (DAC) was a unit of the Royal Field Artillery and under orders of the Commander Royal Artillery of a Division.

This page describes the structure and size of a DAC after it was enlarged by the merging into it of the former Brigade Ammunition Columns General in May 1916). The details are from the war diary of the DAC of 30th Division (National Archives WO95/2321).
